Eloise had her first taste of Mommy's Venison Chili this past Sunday. If I was on top of my game, I would have dressed her in her camou dress that Brad bought her a few weeks ago!
Drinking cold milk right out of the fridge! No more warming up the milk in a cup of warm water. Granted, sh only gets a bottle with milk when she wakes up and right before bed. Next on the agenda, ditching that bottle 100%.
Brushing her teeth has now become her new obsession. Everytime we go in her bathroom, she points to the toothbrush.
All of the sudden, we have a book worm. She is all about books right now. Brings you a book, reaches to be pulled up on the couch, and sits on your lap to be read to. Eloise got some great new books for her birthday and she can't get enough of them. She likes them so much she demands that they be read over and over...and over. Pretty sure Brad & I know some of these stories by heart already.
We are really into putting things in containers and carry them around.
Eloise celebrated Grandparents Day this past weekend. On Sunday morning, we had brunch with Grandma Karen (K-ma) & Grandpa Kevin (K-pa). On Sunday afternoon, we had dinner with Grandma Sandy & Grandpa Mike. As part of their gift, Brad & I made a DVD with photos and videos from Eloise's 1st year. It was a hit!
As I always say - Sometimes the outtakes are just as good...
5 ways you know your Baby is becoming a Toddler:
1. No more cute Pedipeds. Big girls shoes are where it's at!
2. Done with nursing.
3. She walks into day care and knows which room is hers.
4. Preferences. She points...grunts...lunges. She has preferred sippy cups, toys, books and foods.
Anthony the Balloon Guy was a huge hit and made balloon creations for every kid there! Eloise got her creation first and loved her Ariel mermaid. Anthony made a unicorn, Pluto the dog, octopus, Minnie Mouse, a giant flower, and a few Spidermen
Logan requested a Zombie eating brains and that's exactly what he got!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate!

Now that we officially have a toddling 1 year old on our hands, it's time to think about the future of Baby Face Friday. As much as I'd like to believe that Eloise will always have a sweet baby face, she is growing up every day and getting closer and closer to being more of a little girl. So, let me introduce you to our new weekly series on The Littlest Kalins - Toddling Thru. Here's to the Toddler Years ahead!

It only took all summer but we finally got Eloise in Grandma & Grandpa's pool last Sunday! Every time we would make plans to go swimming the temperature would drop making the pool too cool even for Grandma to float in her raft. Maybe it was for the best because Eloise loved it and she may have been too timid earlier this summer.
This week has been all about new toys! Eloise is loving all her big girl toys she got for her birthday. The kitchen & food from Grandma Sandy & Grandpa Mike along with the shopping cart from Aunt Laura are definitely her favorites right now. She loves to load up her shopping cart with food and push it around the living room. She is also loving some of the toys that she can actually ride on. Thanks to Grandma Karen & Grandpa Kevin for picking out one that plays some good tunes for her to dance along to.
Don't worry, I'm working on a post all about the birthday party!
