Toddling Thru

Sorry that we missed a week of photos & fun. Just think of this post as super sized...

Eloise celebrated Grandma Karen's birthday 2 weekends ago and had a blast helping Grandma open her presents and eat ice cream.
In case you didn't hear, we experienced some extreme weather in the Chicago area.  Temperatures dipping as low as -20 degrees and snow fall accumulating to 16 inches! The Polar Vortex was no joke.
How did we cope with this weather?  Eating cinnamon ice cream from Oberweis, of course!

Eloise has become quite the Mama Bear since Christmas.  She has 2 baby dolls that she takes care of by feeding, burping, rocking, dancing, and tucking in to go "Ni-Ni."

Toddling Thru: 16 Months

What happened this month?
  • Had a week long sleepover at Grandma Karen & Grandpa Kevin while Mom & Dad were on vacation
  • Freaked out at the sight of Santa
  • Figured out how to unwrap gifts & loved it
  • Cut 4 molars - 2 on top & 2 on the bottom
  • Learned the word "Mine"
  • Learned the how to say one of her friend's names from daycare - Sasha is "Sha- Sha"
  • Stop drinking out of a bottle completely.  She was only getting milk in a bottle in the morning but we are glad to have put them away for good!
  • Played in the snow
  • Drank Hot chocolate for the 1st time
  • Tried sushi. And by tried I mean, ate a bite of rice from the sushi roll and threw the rest of it on the tray.
  • Lots of babbling and toddler-speak.  Keeping this in mind, she has started "reading" to herself which is hilarious.  She laughs & changes the inflection in her voice
The love affair with Piper continues...
