Eloise's Thanksgiving

Eloise is lucky enough to get to celebrate Thanksgiving 3 times every year!

Our 1st celebration is with Grandma Sandy & Grandpa Mike on the night before Thanksgiving for what we like to call Thanksgiving Pizza.  Everyone gathers at Uncle Bob & Auntie Dina's.

Our 2nd celebration is with the Clarks.  We went to Grandma Karen & Grandpa Kevin's house for Brunch on Thanksgiving morning.  As an added bonus, Great Grandma Fitz was there and Uncle Dan & Aunt Patti from San Diego!
Eloise was getting ready with her purses for Black Friday shopping!
Selfies!
Our final celebration is with Grandpa Jim for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Grandpa Jim gave a whole new meaning to childproofing when he got ready for his granddaughters!
Then again, who needs toys when there is a baby grand piano?

Toddling Thru: 15 months

Stats
Weight: 25lb 4oz (89.91%)
Height: 31.6 inches (90.75%)
Head Circumference: 47.5cm

These are a few of my favorite things...
Favorite Tricks:
Climbing the Stairs
Blowing Kisses
Pretending to talk on the phone or take "selfies"
Climbing on the Coffee Table
Climbing up on her stool to brush her teeth
Closing all the baby gates

Favorite Books:
The Boss Baby.  We seriously read this EVERY night.  Eloise picks it out, brings it to us and climbs up on our laps.  The best part is that she laughs at all the right parts of the story.
The Going To Bed Book. We all know it by heart.
Pajama Time.
Snuggle Puppy.

Favorite Toys:
Play Kitchen & Shopping Cart.  Eloise is in need of more play food - preferrably the wood kind - since Piper has decided that any plastic play food is actually her toy.

Bags. Purses. Totes.  Eloise loves to walk around with a bag on her arm, blow a kiss, and say Bye.  This routine can go on for quite a while any given day.  It's extra fun when she walks around with Mommy's purses.

Crayons & Chalk. Just a few weeks ago, I sat Eloise down with some crayons & papers and she was mesmerized by the activity. She is still figuring it all out but loves to sit at her little desk and try. She also has figured out how to use hte .

Biggest change for this month has been Eloise's transition to the Young Toddler room at daycare.  She has adjusted very well to a new teacher, new schedule, and new classmates.  She is still just as excited to go to daycare everyday.  Every morning she stops to give Ms. Vicki a hug before going to her class.  I love seeing how excited she gets to see some of her little buds when I drop her off as well.  A few of the kids were in the infant room with her when she first started so it's like they were reunited.   I love picking her up at the end of the day because she runs to me while blowing kisses and telling everyone "Bye."  For some reason, it sounds like she has a little southern twang when she says Bye.  It's too much!  One of the biggest things that Eloise has had to adjust to with the Toddler schedule is their outside time - twice a day.  She gets all bundled up - sometimes including snow pants - and braves the chilly weather with her friends.  Her teacher tells me that she likes it some days more than others.  I'm sure once there is snow to play in that she will have a blast!

Toddling Thru: 100th Post!

Can you believe it Eloise?
This is the 100th post for The Littlest Kalins!
 YAY!!

This week in photos:
Frienemies is the best way I can describe these 2. Obsessed with each other but drive each other nuts.
Happy Shotgun Season to Daddy! Thanks to our cousin Jacob for making these custom hunting hats with the Stag Run logo! Stag Run is Daddy's 67 acre hunting property in Western IL. The hats must have been good luck since Daddy got a deer on Saturday morning.
Mastering the cup
Giving this whole coloring thing a try

Toddling Thru

1st School Picture

It's official - Eloise has graduated to the Young Toddler Room.  This transition has been bittersweet for me because both Eloise & I have fallen head over heels in love with Ms. Vicki, her teacher in the infant room, over the last 11 months.  Eloise would basically leap into Vicki's arms every morning when I dropped her off.  Over the past month, Vicki and I kept saying to each other that we weren't sure how the transition was going to go because Eloise adored her so much.  Thankfully, her transition has gone just fine.  Eloise's new teacher, Miss Lupe, is an absolute doll.  Now that she is with the toddlers, Eloise has been reunited with some of her little pals that used to be in the infant room with her.  I love hearing her little friends call her by name.  It is too cute!  Miss Lupe is so great about texting the parents pictures of their kids throughout the day.  Getting a picture from her almost every day this week has helped put my mind at ease.
We love you Ms. Vicki!

"Once you're done with that baby, come back over here and rub my back until I fall asleep."
This week has been a week of firsts for Eloise...
 First nap on a cot
First time playing outside with big kids

First time sportin' a back packcuz that's what toddlers do

I'm so happy that Eloise has done so great at the daycare and feel blessed every day to have this great service.  Our daycare is truly amazing and I'm excited to get more involved with the ongoing expansion and programming as I have just been elected to the Board of Directors.

Halloween Fun

Pumpkin Pie's annual visit to Sonny Acres Pumpkin Patch
We checked out the trains with our buddy Grace
Eloise's 1st train ride
Daddy & Eloise carved our pumpkin
Eloise was rockin' a Halloween-themed outfit every day this week but we saved the best one for Halloween!  She was so excited to wear her fancy tutu.  I'm pretty sure she was texting a photo of herself to all of her friends.
At Eloise's daycare, they do a parade with all the kids throughout the hospital.  Eloise's buddy Grace was nice enough to let Eloise ride her wagon.  Staff line all the hallways to pass out candy to all the kids.  Eloise's pumpkin was FULL of candy at the halfway point.
Eloise is already learning to share or trade as she kept giving Grace her candy.
Check out Mommy's beekeeper hat!  Aunt Laura & Grandma Karen joined us for the parade too!
 "It's Mama!"
After the parade, Mommy took Eloise to meet all of her staff and even her boss!  She got to trick or treat to a few offices there too.  Everyone agreed that Eloise was the cutest bee that they ever saw!

Happy Halloween!!
